Who will be the bottom three this week?

Without seeing the performances yet, it’s hard to say. I think Chris may make another appearance in the bottom three, as I don’t think this week’s genre will suit him– although there are plenty of rock love songs (Angel by Aerosmith, Sweet Child of Mine by Guns n’ Roses, Weezer’s “Only In Dreams” to name a few). Of course, there’s no telling what catalog of music they have to choose from.

In any case, mostly I’m judging based on voting here, voting on Dial Idol and listening to buzz around the net. I think Paris could be in trouble. While I think Kellie Pickler will probably turn in a performance that DESERVES to be in the bottom three, I think it’s more likely that Katharine or Elliott will round out the bottom three.

I think that Paris, Katherine and Elliot probably have the smallest fan bases. So they need to perform really well to keep from being in the bottom 3.

That said here is my bottom three:

1. Paris (she will go home, even though I think she is one of the top three performers)

2. Kellie (I don’t think she can stay out of the bottom 3 forever…)

3. Chris (I think he is losing fans fast)

This list will probably change after tomorrow’s performances.

Americans can finally have a say in something fun and exciting. Why is everybody all of a sudden a critic? What’s wrong with you people?
It appears all your critical remarks are doing is undermining the confidence of a bunch of brave young talent…As for a winner, it appears to me that Kellie is probably the one really gifted singer on American Idol.

Sandy,

People are critics because that’s part of the fun of American Idol. Every week, someone WILL be eliminated. It’s nice that you think Kellie is really gifted. I think she’s a sweet, nice girl who is the worst of the remaining singers. I think she is talented, but not more talented than the other singers who are still in the contest.

And, really, the last two weeks SHE has said that she hasn’t done a good job. Should America vote for her over someone who did an excellent job because they feel sorry for her? That’s not really very complimentary to her.

I have no doubt that whenever she is eliminated (or if she wins) that she has plenty of fans to support a recording contract. Most of the people who make into the final 12 do okay for themselves.
