Ace Young sang “That’s All”. It was better than most recent Ace fare, but I’m not sure it will be enough to save him. And I didn’t care for his slicked back hair at all.
Katharine McPhee closed the show and, as usual, American Idol saved the best for last. When I saw the list of songs, I thought she would be perfect to sing “Someone to Watch Over Me”, and apparently she thought so, as well. She lived up to what I imagined her performance of the song to be. Her tendency towards mugging the cameras and a theatrical sense served her well on this song. I have to say, this song was the best song of the night.
