At first I thought it was just the audio acting up, like a couple of weeks ago. The audio cut out during one of the early interviews and then during Paris’ performance. No, it turns out that on the East Coast and in the Central time zone, Paris was bleeped saying “shhh”. She didn’t actually use the s-word, but because it was appearing live, they didn’t want to take any chances. On the West coast, it was allowed to air without a bleep. Why is this controversial? Some think that conservative Southerners may have been turned off by the mere thought that Paris said a curse word. I think it’s a fairly big non-issue.
