I heard Jared Cotter sing ‘Cupid’ and I thought it was FABULOUS!
I hope he goes a long way in the competition.
I wish that I could hear him sing that song again. Our 5 year old daughter sings a part of the song non stop in our house.
I have looked on the internet to find the entire song he sang at the audition but have not found it. We would like to know how we can hear it again!
I think you picked some decent people for the top 24 but I am curious why you chose ‘Sundance’ over the guy named Tommy.
Randy Jackson is great and knows about what he is judging. Simon Cowell is the best judge. Paula Abdul follows what Randy or Simon say and her opinion means NOTHING!! Paula Abdul sang great songs but she has no talent in judging others.
I pick the best friend of the gal who was flirting to win it!!

Well, of course, I didn’t choose the top 24. But if you’re wondering why Sundance was chosen by the judges/producers, instead of Tommy, I think there are a number of reasons.
One, despite his less than wonderful performances in Hollywood, Sundance had a blowout performance in the initial auditions. Two, he is unique, whether you like his brand of uniqueness or not, and I think he’ll be somewhat controversial, which is just good television. Three, Tommy Daniels has multiple arrests in his background. I think that makes producers nervous when they’re talking about putting you on a television show where they need you to be around for an extended period of time.
As I said, I’m not the producers, nor am I privy to the actual decision process involved, but I’m guessing that one or more of those reasons figured into the decision process.
Jared is from my home town and a friend of my nephew’s. He is a wonderful young man and a fantastic, talented singer. Let’s all support Jared and vote for him to win American Idol.
Jarod is my son’s best friend since jr. high school. Not only is he a great friend to him, he comes from a wonderful family, is gorgeous and is tremendously talented and hardworking. Everyone wants to hear more on the “Cupid” song and we all would buy it in the stores if it were available only with other songs he will record in the future. American Idol needs to give him more exposure so America can really see his talent. He deserves to go all the way and be #1 AMERICAN IDOL. GOOD LUCK, JAROD. Love you…Vin’s mom.
JAred COtter deserves to win this competition. I am a music producer that has worked with Jared in the studio. He loves music, is an excellent songwriter, and I think people need to support him, because I think he has his own style and charisma.
New York needs to step up and support like the Southern States have been doing for their artists. GET on the Phones and VOTE!!
